Grief doesn't move in a straight line, and this series doesn't try to make it look like one. Rather than illustrating grief literally, this shoot translates its stages into colour and styling: black, purple, ochre, and beyond, each shade marking a different stage of the process rather than a single mood stretched across the whole set.

The aim wasn't to document sadness, but to give an often invisible, internal process something to actually look like, using fashion imagery as a language for something words don't always reach.
